Watermelon Matcha Milkshake

Light, fruity, and kissed with a little green magic — this Watermelon Matcha Milkshake is summer’s sweetest surprise. With juicy watermelon, creamy milk, and earthy matcha, it’s the refreshing fusion you didn’t know you needed. Serve it layered for a striking look, or blended for a vibrant green-pink swirl. Either way, it’s so easy, so refreshing, and so worth it!

Ingredients (serves 1–2)

  • 1½ cups watermelon cubes, chilled or frozen

  • 150 ml milk (any kind — oat, almond, coconut, or dairy)

  • 1 tsp ceremonial matcha powder @matchaunion

  • 50 ml hot water (about 75–80°C / 170°F)

  • Optional: ice cubes, maple syrup or honey for added sweetness

Instructions

1. Whisk the Matcha

Sift 1 tsp matcha powder into a bowl.
Add 50 ml hot water and whisk until smooth and frothy using a bamboo whisk or milk frother.

2. Blend the Watermelon Milk

In a blender, combine the watermelon cubes and milk.
Blend until smooth and silky. Add a few ice cubes or a splash of sweetener if you’d like it extra cold or sweet.

3. Combine

Option 1 – Blended:
Pour the whisked matcha into the blender with the watermelon milk. Blend again briefly to combine.

Option 2 – Layered:
Pour the watermelon milk into a glass, then gently pour the whisked matcha on top for a gorgeous two-tone drink.

4. Serve & Enjoy

Pour over ice, add a fun straw, and sip, smile, repeat!
