Watermelon Matcha

It’s summertime and we want to make sure you stay hydrated! Unlike coffee, matcha tea does not dehydrate you but helps you to maintain a health fluid balance. In this recipe we combine matcha with one of the most hydrating fruits - watermelon!  One cup of watermelon contains more than half a cup of water plus fibre and other nutrients like vitamin C, A and magnesium. The combo makes this the best drink on a hot summer day - hydration and glow guaranteed!

Prep Time: 5 min | Total Time: 10 min | Serves: 1


  • 1/2 tsp matcha powder

  • 1 cup watermelon – sliced, stones removed 

  • Freeze few cubes of watermelon, stones removed (optional)

  • A handful of ice 



1. Blend or juice the watermelon.

2. Add ice or frozen watermelon cubes to a cup. 

3. Pour the watermelon mix over the ice.

4. Top with your well whisked matcha (simply whisk 1/2 tsp of matcha powder with 1/3 cup of warm (max 80C) water until smooth or frothy).

5. Enjoy and cool down!
