The Viral Japanese Cheesecake
This Japanese cheesecake broke the internet with just two ingredients.
We thought… what if matcha?
And wow — creamy, soft, and a full-on flavor moment.
It’s not baked. It’s not complicated. It just works.
🌿 You’ll Need:
- Lotus biscuits (or any biscuits you love)
- Yogurt (Greek or thick natural yogurt works best)
- 1 tsp premium matcha powder @matchaunion
✨ Method:
1️⃣ Make the matcha yogurt
Stir matcha powder into yogurt until smooth, creamy, and evenly green.
2️⃣ Dip & coat
Dip each biscuit into the matcha yogurt, coating both sides generously.
3️⃣ Layer & chill
Place coated biscuits in a container, layering slightly if needed. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours (overnight is even better).
4️⃣ Slice & enjoy
Once softened and cake-like, slice or serve whole and enjoy your matcha twist.
💚 Optional Upgrades:
- Dust with extra matcha before serving
- Add a drizzle of honey between layers
- Top with crushed pistachios or white chocolate shavings
Creamy, soft, and surprisingly indulgent — proof that sometimes the simplest ideas taste the best. 🍵✨
