Gingerbread Matcha Latte
INGREDIENTS
- 1 teaspoon of Matcha Union Vanilla Matcha powder
- 1 cup of almond milk (or your preferred milk)
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- A dash of nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon of honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- Zest of half an orange or lemon for a citrusy zing
- A small piece of fresh ginger, grated (about 1/2 inch)
INSTRUCTIONS

Prepare the Matcha: Sift the matcha powder into a bowl to avoid lumps. Add 60ml of hot water (not boiling, ideally at 80°C). Whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion until the tea is frothy.

Infuse the Milk: In a saucepan, gently heat the almond milk. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, and grated ginger. Stir well and bring to a near simmer. Don’t let it boil to maintain the delicate flavors.

Combine: Strain the milk mixture to remove the ginger pieces. Pour the spiced milk into the bowl with the matcha. Add the honey or agave syrup and whisk again until well combined and frothy.

Add the Citrus Twist: Stir in the citrus zest (orange or lemon) for an uplifting and refreshing kick.

Serve: Pour the Matcha Latte into your favorite cup. Optionally, garnish with whipped cream, mini gingerbreads, a sprinkle of cinnamon or a twist of citrus zest.
