How to use
How to use
Soak your whisk in warm water for 1–2 minutes before each use. Add ½ to 1 teaspoon (1–2g) of matcha to a bowl. Add 60ml of hot water (70–80°C, never boiling) and massage into a smooth paste. Add another 60ml of water and whisk briskly in a W or M motion for 15–20 seconds until a fine foam forms.
After use, rinse with warm water (no soap) and place on the holder to dry.

Why do I need a whisk holder?
Without one, the prongs dry gathered together and lose their shape. A holder keeps them fanned out, lets air circulate, and prevents mould. It's the difference between a whisk that lasts months and one that lasts a year.
Can I use the whisk without the holder?
Yes, but the whisk won't last as long. You can stand it upside down on its handle occasionally, but a holder is the best way to maintain its shape and extend its life.
Is the holder dishwasher safe?
Yes. The glazed ceramic holder is dishwasher safe. The bamboo whisk is not — hand rinse only.
How long does the whisk last?
With proper care (soak before use, rinse after, dry on the holder), up to a year with daily use, up to two years with lighter use.
