Sustainability is most arguably one of the most defining trends of the fashion industry. Pushing the boundaries in this sector, Cecilia Musmeci is the founder of Le Paradox Agency, a conscious platform curating image, art direction and identity for sustainable high-end fashion and jewellery brands.

MU: What are you passionate about?

CM: Life in all its nuances and unpredictable turns.

MU: What’s the most fulfilling part about what you do?

CM: To see abstract ideas taking physical form. When I work on a concept for a photoshoot or I sit down hearing my clients’ dreams and expectations I feel like I am shaping fantasies into reality. Also teamwork is incredibly rewarding as I am constantly learning from others and their unique talent.

Paradox Comp 1

MU: What title do you give this chapter in our life and why?

CM: The Juicy Unknown - It’s the beginning of a new season that will lead to the end of the weirdest year to date. I feel the pressure of the challenge but I am also very positive because many new ways of living and business possibilities have been ripening in the past months. I feel ready to harvest them. I don’t know what’s going to happen next and how our systems are going to shift, but there is a certain kind of juiciness in not knowing!

MU: What does wellness mean to you?

CM: Feeling good and using my physical and mental capacities at their best each and every day.

MU: What is a wellness trend that you recently discovered and can’t live without?

CM: I am not really big on trends. I’d say drinking celery juice every morning on an empty stomach. I have been doing it for quite some time but now everyone seems obsessed about it! I also love Gua Sha and I recently understood how to use it properly.

MU: What or whom inspires you?

CM: Strong female figures that are not afraid to unleash all aspects of their being. From pop-stars to political figures I find the courage of being authentic in a hyper constructed society extremely inspiring.

MU: How do you stay balanced?

CM: Kundalini yoga. Every day. Non negotiable. If possible before sunrise and for at least 1h.

MU: What are your top 3 wellness tips?

CM:

1. Take ice cold showers
2. Sleep to the gong (I recommend White Sun)
3. Have some kind of morning practice / routine to clear your mind before starting the day

Cacao Plant
MU: If you could be any superfood which one would you be and why?

CM: Raw cacao! I love the buzz of a good dose of a pure and unrefined cacao. The taste is simply amazing and in all ancient Latino American cultures is used to warm the heart, bring people together and connect with the land. Every time I have my cacao drink I reconnect with myself, Mother Nature and the incredible people that made this delicious medicine.

MU: What’s your favourite MU prduct and how do you use it?

CM: The Advanced Morning to Evening Set - the design is stunning and its a perfect last minute gift idea.
